The weekend of 18 and 19 March 2017 saw Surrey Harmony members once again take to the risers for a weekend of coaching in preparation for the Sweet Adelines Region 31 Convention 2017, taking place 12-14 May in Newcastle.
This pre-competition coaching session is always hotly anticipated, as it hones and polishes our convention package ready for the big stage. Once again, we were delighted to welcome talented international coach, Doug Harrington, to Coulsdon, and once again, we were thrilled with the skill and creativity he brought to the weekend’s coaching.
With our songs in great shape, we eagerly awaited today’s announcement of the competition running order to find out when we would be singing, and ‘Number 6’ it was! Surrey Harmony quartet, Oops!, who are also competing, were drawn 13th. We’re hoping their place will prove more than lucky for them!
