Surrey Harmony said a f
ond farewell to one of its dazzling front row members last night as she left for a new life in front of the risers. Jenny Savory, our erstwhile SHooter (Surrey Harmony Out of Towner) and more recently fully-fledged member, is off as she becomes the new Musical Director of Spinnaker Chorus, and we are so excited for her! Spinnaker is a sister chorus to Surrey Harmony, based just down the A3 in Portsmouth.
Naturally we couldn’t let her go quietly, so Jenny gave her arms a directorial test drive by leading Surrey Harmony through a performance of Elton John’s Can you feel the love tonight. And we will see her again in October, when she hops back on the front row to join us as a SHooter when the chorus goes to Houston to compete at the Sweet Adelines International Competition.
