Become a Barbershop Showstopper

Would you like to perform with young women of a similar age from different parts of the country or all over the world?

Are you aged 26 or under? Do you love singing?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES then Surrey Harmony could be the place for you.

S urrey Harmony is part of Sweet Adelines International, the global singing organisation with 60,000 members all over the globe. It has a programme designed for young singers called Young Women in Harmony. It makes barbershop fun with specially arranged songs for younger voices which are still developing.

Here in the U.K. Sweet Adelines has its own Young Women in Harmony chorus called “Showstoppers”. Here they are performing in front of 1400 people in Birmingham in May 2008.

In Surrey Harmony Emma Duguid our Tenor section leader is our Young Women in Harmony Co-ordinator.

Why don’t you become a showstopper by taking up four part harmony singing? You could be performing in front of thousands of people with Surrey Harmony in Nashville in October 2009 and making new singing friends from all over the world.
