We are buzzing with excitement after welcoming
the latest additions to Surrey Harmony our SH-ooters.
What are SH-ooters? They are members who have joined us
especially to make the trip to the World Championships
in Las Vegas in October 2006. |
This is common practice among Sweet Adelines in the United
States and elsewhere. Choruses boost their numbers especially
for the major competitions by using "out-of-towners" or "ooters".
It's never been done in the UK before, so Surrey Harmony is
breaking new ground in the UK. We are delighted to welcome our
SH-ooters and promise them a great trip to Las Vegas. We are
thrilled they are joining us and making what is a major
commitment in addition to their own Sweet Adelines chorus.
