At Surrey Harmony we are always thrilled to share in the happy occasions of our members. Here's the proof that barbershoppers make beautiful brides.

Our Choreographer Kären Lainchbury married Nick Pallot
on 5th July 2007 at the Water's Edge Hotel, Bouley Bay on the Island of Jersey. Nick promised Kären the sun would shine, but she packed umbrellas just in case. Just as well she did as it poured down for most of the day.

Kären is the lead in our quartet Zig Zag and the other three members Jenny, Judith and Trish were there of course. Trish was Kären's Matron of Honour.

For weeks beforehand she was breaking them in on the risers at our rehearsals Julia married James Thomas at St Peter's and St Paul's church in Godalming on 1st September and then onto a reception at Gate Street Barn in Bramley.

Rachel Starling was our first bride of the summer.

 Rachel Starling was our first bride of the summer.

She married Jon Chequers at Chaldon Church on 9th June. Their reception was held at Dunottar School in Reigate.

Rachel and Jon were joined by Jackie, Lorraine, Trish and Barbara - otherwise known as Hunky Dory.

Congratulations to our Membership Secretary Vanja Sandelin who had a baby boy Mattias on September 27th weighing in at 3.5 kg.

Mum and baby are doing fine and Mattias can look forward to being serenaded on Wednesday evenings when he's brought to Chorus.
