Lunchtime at Fairfield Halls

If it’s a lovely July day, then it must be time for our annual lunchtime concert at Fairfield Halls in Croydon. Last year we sweltered in temperatures around one hundred degrees celcius.

We were hardly expecting that this year after our very disappointing summer, not to mention the recent flooding in Croydon and elsewhere. However a beautiful day brought out our many loyal fans and some new friends as well from as far afield as Cheshire, the Isle of Man and even Australia.

Fairfield Halls is one of our most popular annual engagementsFairfield Halls is one of our most popular annual engagements and although not every member of Surrey Harmony was able to be present, there were more than 50 of us on stage.

Thanks to our audience for being so appreciative. You all did a wonderful job joining in with our Apple Blossom medley and thank you for so many nice comments about our new costume.

It was also the debut of our new quartet “Martini Time” – Janet, Trish, June and MarisIt was also the debut of our new quartet “Martini Time” – Janet, Trish, June and Maris. Well done to them for a great performance.
