The countdown to the Regional Championships is really underway now. The order of appearance has been decided by Sweet Adelines International in Tulsa. We are competitor number 14 out of 20.

Our new quartet Polyphonic! will be competing for the first time this year. They have drawn last but certainly not least place in the Quartet competition so they will have a great audience for their debut. Emma, Emma, Vanja and Sarah are singing beautifully and we wish them every luck.

Assistant Director, Valerie Taylor’s quartet Twist! is also competing.

Our Regional Competition this year is being staged at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Our very own baritone Emma Riley is now the Competition Co-ordinator, so she's already visited the Hall to check it out. 

During construction the acoustician worked directly with the architect and, through this unusual process, they achieved the creation of the fifth best concert hall in the world, built specifically for acoustic recital. Emma describes it as "awesome". So we are really looking forward to singing there.
